AGM Guest Speaker Raewyn Peart from EDS, 28 April
Don’t miss Raewyn Peart from EDS speaking at our AGM, 28 April
The Annual General Meeting 2024 of the Long Bay-Okura Great Park Society will be held on 28 April, 3pm at the Browns Bay Presbyterian Church Hall, 24 Anzac Road.
There will be a short AGM followed by our guest speaker Raewyn Peart, Policy Director for the Environmental Defence Society (EDS).
For over four decades EDS has been fighting for the protection of the New Zealand environment, developing policy, litigating environmentally significant cases, and advancing education through publications and conferences. Raewyn has been at the forefront of this work. She has a background in law and economics, a long list of publications to her name, many dealing with the marine environment, and plays a major role in the annual EDS conferences that bring together environmental groups, government agencies, academics, the business community and politicians for the advancement of environmental protection. We look forward to hearing Raewyn’s take on the worrisome Fast-track Approvals Bill.
We are indeed very privileged to have Raewyn address us at our AGM, and welcome everybody to attend, and be informed.
