For decades, our Society and its supporters have worked to protect these precious places from the pressures of development, sediment pollution and environmental degradation. We advocate for stronger environmental protection, engage with councils and decision-makers, raise public awareness and give our community a voice when the future of Long Bay and Okura is at stake.

Our Cover It Up. Stop the Mud. Save Our Gulf. campaign is one example of this work – taking action to reduce sediment entering our waterways and ultimately the Hauraki Gulf.
