Snorkel day
Explore the waters of Torbay by snorkel. Find spotties, parore, goatfish and the occasional snapper. Learn how to weave harakeke - flax. Fun for the whole whanau.
This event is funded by the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board and The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation. It is part of Seaweek.
Parking is along the surrounding streets.
Bring your own gear or get free hire of our mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuits. Recommended for everyone 5 years and up. All children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult beach observer. Experienced guides and advanced safety procedures will be in place on the day.

Long Bay Regional Park Planting Day 19 May, 10am, Site 4
This year we will be working with Auckland Council to do erosion protection planting above the dunes - a continuation of last year’s planting.
All welcome.
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them, water bottle and wear suitable footwear. Spades will be provided but you might like to bring a favourite gardening implement. Thank you to Auckland Council for your support of this important day.
